Probably many of you have eaten this famous dish in China. Besides the fact that it is delicious in taste, it also looks very good, and the combination of minced meat and pasta certainly leads to the thought of an Italian dish. This is a purely Chinese food and has a somewhat ambiguous name, but it has nothing to do with ants. In China, many of the dishes have a history, and have existed in Chinese cuisine for hundreds of years. Many dishes have the names of important characters in Chinese history, have combinations of animal names or simply have a name for how they look. This is how this type of food is: small pieces of minced meat look like ants climbing on the branches of a tree, and the branches are represented by rice noodles. Hence the name of this dish that is part of Sichuan cuisine. And if it comes from this kitchen, then of course we need hot peppers.

  • 300 g minced pork
  • 200 g of noodles
  • 5 dried shiitake mushrooms
  • 2 sprigs of green onion
  • 1 piece of ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 hot peppers
  • Sichuan pepper
  • 1 tablespoon starch
  • 2 teaspoons light soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice wine
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper oil (if you do not have, supplement with another sheath of hot pepper)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil

RECIPE PREPARATION Ants in the tree:

Dried shiitake mushrooms are soaked in a bowl of water. Put the minced meat in a bowl and add salt, 1 teaspoon of soy sauce, rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and starch; mix well and leave in the fridge for 20 minutes.

Dip the noodles in a pot of boiling water and leave for 5 minutes, then pass through cold water and drain.

Finely chop the hot pepper, the ginger, garlic and onion are finely chopped, the white part of the onion is separated from the green one.

Heat 1/2 teaspoon of hot pepper and the other teaspoon of sesame oil in the wok. )

Over the hot oil add the finely chopped hot peppers, then add the white part of the onion, ginger and garlic and Sichuan pepper.

Cook all for a few seconds, then add the previously prepared minced meat, cook until it begins to form a sauce.

Cut the hydrated shiitake mushrooms and add them to the meat mixture, add the drained rice noodles, and over them the light soy sauce and the rest of the hot pepper oil. Mix everything well so that the pieces of meat are combined with the noodles, transfer to a plate.

How to cook ants in the tree at home

Ingredient:

- 200 g of glass noodles
- a tablespoon of oil
- a tablespoon of ginger powder
- a tablespoon of spicy bean sauce
- 300 g of minced pork / chicken
- 2 cups of chicken soup
- half a teaspoon of sugar
- a teaspoon of dark soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons light soy sauce
- a quarter cup of chopped leeks.

Preparation:

Let the glass noodles soak in warm water for 10 minutes, then rinse, strain and set aside. Place a wok pan on medium heat and add the oil and ginger powder. Leave the ginger in the pan for a minute, then add the spicy bean sauce.

Leave the ingredients in the pan for another minute, then add the minced pork (if you prefer, you can make this dish with chicken). Mix the ingredients in the pan until the meat is well done, then add the chicken soup and soy sauces (dark and light).

Let the ingredients boil well. As soon as they are ready, add the glass noodles and chopped leeks.

Mix the whole composition for two minutes and turn off the heat. This recipe for ants in the tree it can be served as such, but it goes just as well with a garnish of rice.

  • 150 g minced pork
  • 450 ml concentrated chicken soup

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 green onions

Saute the chopped ginger with the chili sauce for 1-2 minutes.

Add the pork and stir the ingredients in the pan until the meat changes color.

  • 250 g minced meat
  • 200 g noodles

  • 3 green onions
  • 1 piece of ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • salt

  • 1 hot pepper
  • 1 teaspoon starch
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil

Put the dried mushrooms to soak in a bowl of warm water.

Mix the minced meat with salt, pepper, rice vinegar and starch. Mix well and leave to cool for 15 minutes.

Finely chop the hot pepper, green onion, garlic and ginger. Put the noodles in boiled water for 5 minutes, after which you will pass them through a stream of cold water.

Heat the sesame oil in a pan over high heat. Add the finely chopped hot pepper, onion, ginger and garlic. When they have hardened a little, add the minced meat. Heat everything together until the meat has crumbled and changed color. The ingredients will combine and turn into a sauce.

Cut the mushrooms into strips and place them over the mixture in the pan. Add the soy sauce and mix well. The last step is to put the noodles on top and mix everything.

Heat the wok, pour the hot oil with the sesame oil and fry the pepper, then the onion, ginger, Sichuan pepper and garlic. After a minute or two, add the wooden ears, then the minced meat mixture. After the meat is slightly browned, add the pasta and soy sauce. Sprinkle with green onions.

Method of preparation
